The Exquisite Firefish is a relative of its more common cousin, the Purple Firefish. It is easily distinguished by its bright yellow color, more slender body, and distinctly short face and first dorsal fin. It is often found in deeper waters and grows slightly larger than its Western Pacific counterpart.
