The Keyhole Limpet is an efficient algae grazer, with a unique oval, laterally compressed shell that tapers to an off-centered blunt point. They are typically less than half an inch long and feed on filamentous algae, cyanobacteria, diatoms, and hydroids. They maintain a tiny keyhole at the crest of their shell, which allows them to exchange gases.
