The Mexican Turbo Snail is a popular addition to reef aquariums, renowned for its ability to eradicate large amounts of nuisance algae. It is highly effective against hair algae in particular, and can quickly consume large amounts off your live rock and aquarium glass. This species has an irridescent interior to its distinctive top or turban-shaped shell, and is native to the Gulf of Mexico.
