Acropora Coral is an SPS coral with rigid, branching, stony structures that boasts an array of unique colors and intricate shapes. Its symbiotic relationship with other animals such as the acropora crab is fascinating to watch and easily produced within a home reef aquarium. Although more difficult than some corals, acropora are easily grown and reproduced under the correct conditions and are an excellent for those aquarists who are looking for a more rewarding coral.
Here's where we keep our parameters:
kH (Alkalinity) - 7.8 - 8.2
Magnesium - 1400-1440
Calcium - 420-440
No3 (Nitrate) - 5 - 10 ppm
Po4 (Phosphate) - .02 - .04
These are the parameters that we keep the corals at in store, and when we ship!
We keep our corals under certain lighting and flow conditions to keep them happy! Here's the breakdown:
SPS ~ 250 - 600 PAR
Medium to High Flow
LPS ~ 150 - 300 PAR
Low to Medium Flow
Soft Coral ~ 80 - 150 PAR
Low to High Flow
