The unique and beautiful Spotted Mandarin is a species of mandarinfish first discovered in 1976 in the Western Pacific Ocean. Its unmistakable head, fins, and body feature an eye-catching blend of blue, orange, and black spots on a vibrant green base. Males of the species can easily be distinguished by their more-elongated first dorsal spine.
